Purchase the Tacca Bat as a rooted bulb

Purchase the Tacca Bat as a rooted rhysome bulb, I planted it on good drainage soil. I’m in a humid location with indirect sun light and the plant is kept inside at a 75 to 78 Degrees temp. Is been planted for over 2 weeks but I see no leaves growing yet. I did notice the stem is green. Any idea as to time when the leaves start coming out? This was purchased thru eBay. Anxious to see this plant develop. Thanks...Junior...

If you search all the different advice on how to grow this, they seems to agree it will be dormant during the winter and emerge in the spring. You might want to keep it barely moist until it does something. I have a bulb that was supposed to grow in the winter, and it did nothing all winter and summer. It has finally come up and has several leaves. Now it is on to the guessing/hoping game that maybe it will flower this year, then maybe it will flower next year. All part of the fun when growing exotics; but as long as it stays healthy, it just might do something.

Forgot to mention is by a eastern window receiving indirect light and keeping the soil moist.
