I always take the sensitive ones in and they grow even better the next year. They look like sticks for so long then suddenly the buds appear.

The 'berries are in deed seed pods and will give you new plants next year. but the fuchsia is a perennial shrb so it will flower for you next year too. Do you know which fuchsia it is as some are frost hardy and others frost sensitive. If in doubt keep it in a frost free place.
