After years of having had a good crop of greengages from along established tree this year we haven't got a single plum . Why?

Because like us you had a frsot or a very cold wind at the time when the bees should have been doing their business for you. Either they stayed snug and warm in their homes, or the frost /wind destroyed the flowers. We have no plums, damsons or greengages this year at all.
