No not at all. There was a time when I got notification of responses to my questions and blogs via my Hotmail account. but that hasn't happened for a few years now.

Yes, I received exactly the same thing Greenfingers - however in my case it was a good thing because it made me get back in touch.

I visit here quite often, I don’t always post though. These notifications were for questions I’d asked a couple of years ago! Very strange.

I think I told the site not to Email me on my preferences so I do not get these notifications at all.

My inbox has just been hit and I could do without it. I hopre that there is a way to turn them off before I decide to report them as spam.

Right, went into my 'profile' where I have an option of how frequently I want to receive these updates. This had been changed from 'never' to 'hourly' so I have now turned it back.

Yes...and the notifications told me I'd received 3 emails 'within the last hour',yet these were all a few yrs old (and previously seen by me) I was wondering whether my email account had been hacked?? I am perplexed to find other members of GoY have also been affected..anybody have any suggestions as to how we deal with this please??

I had one and when I saw it I assumed that someone (some robot?) had been spamming comments onto lots of questions. When I looked there was nothing there making me think the people managing this site got to it all and deleted it.
