Any ideas for plants for this flower bed that faces southeast. I live in eastern Washington, lots of sun in summer and cold in the winter. Would love to hide the AC.

A butterfly garden for the declining population of butterflies in the US though many listed above would serve that purpose. Others to consider are Guara, Goldenrod, Little Joe Pyeweed, Gallardia, Encore Azalea.
