I bought lots of dahlia tubers from Wilko some time ago and can't wait to plant them but wonder if it is still too early? It has suddenly become quite cold again and I do remember having snow in April some years ago.

As said, strat in trays or pots in shed. If they are named varieties you can even take some soft cuttings from the new growth to increase your stock for free

One of mine has just popped up, the other I potted up at same time is over 6 inches tall & bushy. Time seems to be the secret

if you can start them off in a frost free shed/greenhouse they will be fine. they don't need light until the shoots break the soil surface.
