Fast germination.
Last summer we found a couple of Sunflowers growing in a wall basket - the seed must have come from the compost. I left them in place and harvested the seed in the late autumn. I planted about half a dozen of these seeds in the greenhouse using multipurpose compost about 2pm yesterday afternoon and by mid morning today they had all germinated! Is that a record?

the original seed could have been placed by a mouse or squirrel. I find sunflowers coming up in all different places that I know isn't to do with any compost.

Now thats what I call speedy! :) I planted some squash seed a few days ago, and every day I go to look, full of hope...but so far...not a thing.

Crikey! Better change your screen name to The Germinator.
Can't think of an appropriate catchphrase though☺
