I quite often have strange plants appearing in my Greenhouse over the winter, but I am not sure what this is, does anyone know, it is about 2feet (0.6 metres) tall at the moment and has small yellow flowers forming. Can anyone enlighten me as to what it is.

it is a caper spurge, one of the Euphorbia genus. E. lathyris. It is not edible and it produces a white sap which is a skin irritant. So handle with care.

Caper spurge for sure -these pop up regularly all over the place, classed as a weed by most gardeners.

Thanks all, don't think I'll be eating it for breakfast.

It sure is what the experts above say it is. I pulled a few out myself last week. They say they are a mole deterrent.

'they' may say that, but the moles don't listen ;o))

I know I've seen this around, but can't place it. I'm sure Eileen would know. She'll tell you!
