Hi all, Spring is in full swing once more, my favourite time in the garden with all the different fresh colours!
Does anybody know if you can pinch out tips of peonies so they don't get quite so tall? (May be too late this year if I can ). Flower buds are on but would prefer them not so tall.
Also any tips on the peonies themselves would be great
Thanks in advance

« What kind of tree is this? It's at least 80 years old. It's sort of famous....
sadly no. if you pinch them out you lose the flower buds. I have to support mine to keep them standing tall. some species are slightly smaller but I stake them too as any rain batters them flat anyway.
