The cotoneaster which grows beneath a downstairs window has suddenly died.
Could the very dry, hot summer last year have caused it or is it more likely to be just old age - it has been there a long time, at least 30 years!

probably a bit of both Wildrose. I have had them suddenly keel over and die in the past and they have been mature shrubs.
