Does any one know if I should cut off the taller spikes on my euphorbia? There appears to be new green growth from the base if the plant and the taller spikes look untidy. Thanks

Pic's blurry (was it windy?) but that looks like maybe its Euphorbia Tasmanian Tiger - if it is, or another of the Euphorbia characias varieties, the procedure for pruning is simple. Cut down to the soil all stems which have flowered this year, taking care not to damage any new growth elsewhere; this type of Euphorbia puts out new stems from the base which will flower next year, so the ones from this year are redundant. If it hasn't flowered yet, wait till it has, then do it.
Wear gloves - the white sap from these can cause dermatitis.
