when is the best time to plant the bulb

On plant Eremurus stenophyllus

Answers

These aren't bulbs but are spidery-looking roots. Pot them up as soon as you get them and overwinter in the pot or plant them out in the garden. dig a hole and put a pile of gravel in the bottom for the root to 'sit' on. This will help prevent it from rotting off. Cover with soil but make sure that the bud at the top is only just below the soil level. Mulch well to protect from the worst of the cold off the crown.
