I have done in a previous garden. it was very easy and could get large but it responds well to pruning. It is also easy to take cuttings from and the seed is fertile.

I grew it years ago - not struck, frankly, I hate the smell of it and never found it particularly attractive, though it does well in sandy, dryish soil in sun - but so do lots of other more attractive shrubs, though that is purely subjective, obviously!

I've got a few plants and keep wanting to pull them all out. It spreads like mad and is easy to cut runners off and they will succeed. They tolerate dry conditions and are attractive if the stems are left through winter. The flowers are pale lemon, they do not have a long flowering time and don't attract as many insects as I expected.

I grow it but didn't realise it was called this, just Phlomis to me. Good for cut flowers when just turning yellow and the stems can be dried if your inclined. Easy to grow from seed and the big leaves fill a gap plus it doesn't mind the sun or the heat we've had recently.

Maybe too big for the space i have.i quite like it it’s different but perhaps a bit too shady where I was going to put it.

I grow phlomis fruticosa in a sunny spot in my garden and it can get a little on the large size but is happy with the occasional prune. Lot of varieties and will be good in a sunny, dry spot.
