My two newly acquired tuberose bulbs didn't flower this year (some of you suggested they might not get enough heat) and I'm wondering what I should do with them over winter. There are plenty of leaves

If it were me I think I would reduce the watering so they die back and become dormant over winter and keep them frost free.

see what others suggest.

Thankyou SBG, I will certainly keep them frost free.

Are the bulbs smallish? Some bulbs need to reach a certain size before they bloom.

Thankyou Wylie, I'll check it out.
Bathgate the bulbs when I planted then were about 3/4inch long and 1inch circumference. I don't know whether this is small.

Hi, yes the bulbs are quite a bit smaller than the regular size of a flowering bulb, the circumference should be about 1 i/2 ", so it appears they need growing on for a year or 2 before you get any flowers, you may get flowers next year, but this is the optimum size, Derek.
