Hellebores - have I done the right thing?
Yesterday I cut all the leaves off my hellebores and just left short stems. I then put a mulch of composted leaves around each one.
Is there anything I can now do to 'help them along?'

I don't think it will do any harm in the long term. I'd be tempted to take the stalks down to the ground. I usually take the old leaves off in spring as the flower buds start to emerge.
there's nothing to do to help them along at this time of year. they may throw up some new leaves. leave them alone.
