I have been given a small rose in a pot as a birthday present. Should I plant it outside or will it be OK inside?

Answers

I doubt it will survive inside because the atmosphere will be too dry, it may survive in a cool conservatory but it would prefer to be out in the ground.
If you keep it potted it'll need regular watering, it's easier to care for by planting it out because once it's out it can be left to fend for itself.

My daughter was bought a couple from a boyfriend and asked me to put them in the garden, which I did and they thrived in a sheltered space and flowered for years until a caterpillar munched its way through them.
