Just found these 5 tomatoes that never ripened, think they are Roma. Is there any point in me collecting the seeds for next year ?

gove the toms a little warmth and they will eventually ripen. the seeds wont be fully viable if they haven't had the sugars to ripen.

Thanks guys, I’ll give it a go as I don’t have much on at this time of year.

Look at it this way - who needs marbles at our age

Mine are still rattling and rolling around, could just do with them settling a bit ;p
Had the camera out this morning, though not too much in flower. might do a blog later.

Yes please! I have a few primroses, a crocus and incredibly a rather tired looking spray of Corydalis Tory MP that has been growing up the middle of fuchsia so has been sheltered. Re marbles, it took me ages to remember the name. Finally I remembered the name Beth Evans so I googled plant Beth Evans and so got Corydalis...we get there in the end!

Those tomatoes should ripen in a drawer. All mine did.

Worth a try but as they are not ripe prepare for failure. They may just make it as they look part ripe
However as Roma is fairly common & the seeds are cheap enough or maybe you even have some left over? I'd go for fresh rather than maybe waste a few weeks
Another alternative is sow some trial ones NOW, if you have heat. That way you can check viability before the main event
