I've just bought some foxglove and hollyhock plants. Is it too early to plant them out? They are good sized plants, I am in the south east, and have a small sheltered garden.

I would get them used to the outdoors first as they may well have been in a poly tunnel before coming to you.
During the day put them outside and in the evening bring them into an unheated porch / greenhouse / coldframe. Do this for about a week and provided the ground isn't frozen you can plant them out then.
If they have been outside all the time then yes they can go straight into the garden.
