I remember using home-made garlic spray but can't remember what for!! I think it was to protect plants from slugs.
Half of my snowdrops have been devoured as usual (and I have hundreds). That's always disappointing and I know that my lovely white daffodil patch will succumb to a similar fate, so I want to take action before they come into bud.
I looked at the garlic posts below but didn't find any instructions or advice on how to make it and use it. Can anyone help please?

Thanks SBG. I think I'll try it on a couple of the mature buds before I douse the lot.
Strange that the little beasties mainly go for the white daffs. If successful with daffs, I will try it next year on all the snowdrops in my front garden. There aren't many in there but you wouldn't know that there are any at all. Crocus don't seem to appeal to our slugs and they are now starting to flower which brings some welcome beauty to the little patch.

Hmmm...I'm surprised that my daffs don't seem to be troubled too much by slugs. We have so many here. I have yet to try the garlic spray. I must have a go with it this year.

yes its good to counter slugs, hostas don't seem to mind it.
This one seems typical
2 Bulbs Garlic 2 Pints Water Instructions: Crush 2 bulbs of garlic Steam or boil in 2 pints of water for 3 to 4 minutes until blanched Strain mixture and make back up to 2 pints Leave to cool When ready to use, mix one tablespoon in five litres of water and spray on to leaves in late afternoon (in dry weather).
