Maybe lovage? I grow it because I can use the leaves and stems when I need celery in a recipe. If you crush the leaves they will smell like celery. It grows up to 8 foot high and has yellow flower heads. The seeds can also be used in cookery. I have never eaten the roots but they can be eaten.
