I bought a small potted Thalictrum Chinese Meadow Rue late autumn but I am not sure if it has died. I kept it in a cold greenhouse but all the top growth has died off. I am hoping that it will restart in the spring. Can anyone reassure me?

Hi, don't worry, it's a perennial that dies back each year, you should start to see new growth in the next few weeks, Derek.

Thank you so muck Derek. I really love this plant and would hate to loose it. I will look after it.

yes Derek is correct. Mine aren't showing yet either and I wouldn't expect them to start into growth until March at the earliest.

so don't worry.

It shouldn't need keeping in the greenhouse. I've had two varieties and both are pretty tolerant. Lovely thing!

Thanks Steragram, I know it should be hardy but it was such a small plant bought late in the year and I feared for its survival.

How do I say thanks?
