Corgiman will need to think what colour roses he enjoys, won't he. I have two red climbing roses - both lovely and reliable. One is 'Paul's Scarlet' and the other is 'Dublin Bay' On the side of the house I have a pale pink one which climbs higher - 'New Dawn'.
Over to you, Corgiman.

How about the wonderful rose Paul's "Himalayan Musk" . . . beautiful pale pink, and flowers June to August (like most). It is fast-growing!

ref, rambling roses
Many thanks for all suggestions,as i am fairly new to growing roses all advice is welcome,
I think a nice couple of red and in the centre white would be my choice,
I intend to plant these to grow up three seven foot posts and over two archways where we used to have our hanging baskets the posts are aprox ten foot apart and the arches span in between, once again many thanks to you all.

My goodness, Corgiman! You won't be able to find a rambling rose that DOESN'T get to more than 2 metres! Be careful when you say you want a rampant one - I have 'Kiftsgate' which reaches the eaves of the house and covers a pergola as well. 'Ballerina' also travels far and wide. :-O
I suspect you might want to rethink this one, and go for a climber that flowers more than once, which ramblers don't.
