My fatsia japonica is definitely dying. It's about 15 years old and absolutely huge. Do they have a natural lifetime limit?

My large Fatsia went like this a couple of years ago, really hot, dry, summer. I cut back to around three feet and she came back again.

Most plants do I am afraid. Perhaps cut this down to about a foot high and see if it regenerates. You have nothing to loose. Make sure it has plenty of water as it has been quite dry lately.
