How do I know when to split my potted agapanthus? The pot is covered in leaves, many of the lower ones are yellow despite frequent watering but, so far, only a few flower buds.

I’ve fed them twice so far, SB, and, no, it’s not deciduous. The plant is packed with leaves though. At the moment I can only see three flower stems but I suspect it might be a bit early to count them.
I’ll remember to split next spring. Thanks, SB.

I was just about to repot mine last autumn when it split the pot! I got the timing right.

I tend to split mine early spring just as new leaves are emerging. So I think it is too late now.
when did you last give them a feed? are the yellow leaves last years foliage? or is it a deciduous one?
