I have noticed with lots of clems the leaves are turning brown from bottom up, but still blooming lovely. Is this due to a fungus, called clematis wilt? or something less sinister.
Thanks.

More likely drought or snail damage than wilt. Wilt as we keep saying is rather rarer than people suppose.

I have a few doing this and I think it is a combination of sun, dery weather and wind damage.
