I think this is euonymus, it’s evergreen and covers an outline of an old doorway but recently it’s been swarming with flies And I’ve advised my daughter not to have her bedroom window open. Has anyone else had this problem, are the flies attracted to the blossom, I might have to rethink what else to plant

they are attracted to the flowers and when they are over the flies will go elsewhere. They flower for such a short period of time it would be a shame to remove it. It must have been there for a long time.
