Hello again. I am having a problem with my Damson Merryweather. The tree is 5 years old and has grown really well and looked healthy up to now. Unfortunately, It has now developed lesion on the trunk and I have no idea what is causing them. Any help would be great. Thanks Cecelia

if they are not weeping sap I wouldn't worry . but I would slacken off the stake tie as it looks a little tight.

Thank you, no I have not seen any sap weeping but will keep a watch out for it. I will also slacken off the tie.

It looks to me like it is just starting to develop its adult bark. Growing up! :)
