Does anyone know about taking cuttings from roses. I know some are grafted, does this mean that the cuttings will be different to the parents. I took cutting from a rambling rose last year and the majority took but the flowers are not as bright pink as the parent plant.

No, cuttings won't have different flowers so long as you're not taking cuttings from suckers off the rootstock, but roses are grafted onto a different rootstock to confer vigour - many roses growing on their own roots make weak plants, perhaps not growing strongly or vigorously, or remaining small in size, that sort of thing.

How do I say thanks?
