I transplanted a cordyline approx 4 weeks ago and so far it looked like it was doing fine. Today I am noticing the leaves starting to droop / wilt and some have developed dark brown spots. Any advice on what to do?

keep the compost barely damp and hope the root system continues to take, then hopefully come spring you will get new growth but that may be from the roots. Don't give up on it just yet.
