May have asked this before, sorry.
I now have about 5 young bay trees at the base of the “mother plant “ i don’t suppose there’s the slightest chance I could separate them

if you carefully scrape the soli back from the trunk of the tree and expose the shoots then you should be able to see if there are any roots on them. if there are then you can cut them off with a sharp clean knife. pot them up into good compost
