I planted 5 Lady Boothby climbing fuschias this spring. They are all now about 2 ft. high, with flowers at the very top and no sign of any side shoots.
Should I prune them and if so, by how much?

If you prune it now to get side shoots, you'll lose the lovely flowers. I left mine to do it's thing, then the following spring I pruned it and it sent up several shoots. But at the altitude I'm at, it may not reach it's full height. Mine never goes above 3.5'.

No fuchsia should be pruned at this time of year - cut back to live wood in April, as growth begins.
