Does anyone have any advice about having a dovecot in the garden? We don’t want to keep doves, it’s more as an architectural feature, though we shan’t mind if birds use it. We’re going to put it on a pole set in the ground.
My question: is how high should we position it above the ground?

one of the families in the village has one and they do get a lot of pigeons around it. They have it about 6ft off the ground.
