I have deer that occasionally sleep in my backyard, lovely but I worry they leave ticks behind...is there a natural remedy for possible deer ticks in a lawn of mixed natural grass? I do have a number of blackbirds, robins, starlings that stop by to feed on the grass that is starting to emerge right now (I am in coastal southern Maryland/zone 7b)

My son contracted Lyme Disease, most probably from a deer tick. I assume that is what you are concerned about. Agree with SBG that there doesn't seem to be the solution you are looking for, here in the UK.

I am not aware of anything you can put on the grass to destroy ticks.
All I can suggest is that you check yourself regularly.
