Friend Pat ( female) has grown Shirley tomatoes this year, they’re about 6 inches tall just now and still in 5 inch pots. She’s worried to death because the leaves are very pale. Should she worry and is there anything she can do about it.

And I have some plants growing in my greenhouse but have forgotten what they are, I’m hoping they’re either basil or spinach.

They are neither basil nor spinach Hank, did you sow rocket or similar lettuces?
As for the toms they probably need potting on into fresh compost. if she cant then a weak feed will help.
