The toadstools associated with honey fungus are honey coloured, small to medium sized, so if that's what yours look like, it may well be honey fungus.

Are the toadstools growing close to the trunk? Is there a toadstool-type smell from under the tree bark, and can you see any bootlace-like fungi near it? If so, unfortunately, this could be honey fungus. There isn't a cure for it, and it spreads, so I really hope that it isn't.
