Growths on allium flowers.

recently someone asked about pale growths under there allium flowers and they said that there were several of them doing it.

I replied saying they were probably bulbils.

I have been looking through my plant gall book as my Crab apple has felt mite and spotted a gall that the allium may have.

if you were the member who questioned it [please let me know] remove one and cut it open. if there is a small grub inside then they are all galls. if it has the characteristic layers of an onion they are bulbils.
