I cut mine back really hard in the Spring & I have lots of new growth has sprouted so I'm sure yours will be ok too :o))

yes it shouldnt be a problem, make sure it doesn't get too dry and it will strat to regrow almost immediately.

I agree,after almost 'butchering 'mine ,a few years ago,it is now a beautiful healthy shrub,and I've never seen as many flowers ,as it's had this year,so it's just had another trim to re shape it, now it has finished flowering. Your's will be fine :o)
