Answers
Japanese onion sets go in now for Spring. Kohl rabi can be sown now. Swiss Card too. Chicory also. We have sown Fennel too as a gamble if the weather stays clement for a reasonable length of time.

If you have reasonably free-draining soil and in a sheltered spot you can sow broad beans in October directly in the ground. Aquadulce Claudia is a hardy variety and could be good especially in your location down south.

I think you can sow cabbages, spring greens and if protected potatoes for Christmas.
quick growing sowings of salad greens radishes too.
that is what I tend to do.
