I'm confused. A couple of weeks ago I bought Paeonia Itoh Bartzella. While at the GC I got talking to one of the growers and he told me to "bury it deep" Since then I have noted that when people complain their Paeonia hasn't flowered they are often told it could be planted too deep. Now I'm confused which is right.

That is because this is a cross between a shrubby Paeonia and a herbaceous one. Shrubby ones are planted deeper than pure herbaceous ones. The advice given is correct.
