Are there any particularly hardy succulents which can be left outside during the winter please.

Aloe aristata is apparently hardy and I know it has survived outside in some places in the east of England. Wales may be too wet.

Julia, I’ve several varieties on the rockery. As said by Owdboggy, I’ve sedums of different types, sempervivum, saxifrage and some echeveria which aren’t usually hardy, but, mine are sheltered on the rockery edges. 😊

If you'd like an Aloe aristata I've got a spare one. It will be all right next to the house wall and you could give it plenty of drainage. It's small but will grow into a nice clump.
If you don't want it I won't be offended :)

Sedum Kamtschaticum - I know it's a mouthful but a nice colorful stonecrop sedum.

Sedum is wonderful for bees too.

Many Delosperma species and hybrids are cold hardy, too.
A few true cacti are adapted to cold winters: Pediocactus simpsonii, Coryphantha vivipara, Opuntia macrorrhiza, Cylindropuntia whipplei, and Echinocereus triglochidiatus.
There are a number of Yucca species that can survive hard freezing, and a few Agaves.
The cacti, Yuccas, and Agaves are none too happy about winter wet, though, so they will need to be on a well drained, sandy-rocky hillside, to do their best.
