i bought a denticulata fuschia a couple of months ago,it has now just started to bud is this unusual ?

Not really - most plants which flower for long periods will attempt to produce flowers whenever conditions are appropriate.

thanks bamboo i just hope that the cooler temperatures we have now won't stop it flowering in the summer next year.

No, it'll be fine - it'll stop flowering, die back down and then grow again next year for another summer of flowers...
