Ceanothus from cutting.
Some years ago, my friend's neighbour gave her a rooted cutting from his Ceanothus. In Storm Arwen, the neighbour's plant was destroyed and my friend would like to give her neighbour a cutting from her plant.
Two simple questions; when? and how?

I did this years ago and I think I did soft wood cuttings in late spring. I popped them into a gritty compost and kept them in the greenhouse. Unheated and of the 5 I took 2 rooted. I didnt use rooting powder as I dont use it often enough for it to stay fresh.
