I would do this around March. However it may be wise to prepare the planting area in advance to lessen the job on the day! Dig in lots of garden compost and save rainwater for watering next year. You will need to water the plant all summer for the first year and should use rainwater as Camellias are lime-haters. Make sure that the new site doesn't get early morning sunshine in Spring as this will damage the flowers.
