Aucuba prunings?
I hard pruned the Aucuba today and noticed that there are about 8 straight 3ft long stems. I was wondering about using them as stakes. Has anyone used them for this. Their cut ends are drying out in a bucket as I don't want them to root.

They are still very green so I am holding off a bit longer. Probably use them next year.

I haven’t done this but it’s a great idea. Did you do it? I think will try it.
