I have recently purchased a Pennisetum Macrourum grass but I see from websites abroad that this is a 'noxious invasive weed'. Am I safe to plant it in my garden in the Midlands? Don't want anything I can't get rid of!!

If you have true Pennisetum macrourum then it should be ok, it' has a clumping habit. The problem is that this grass is often confused with Pennisetum incomptum, which is very invasive and will run all over the garden if left to it's own. macrourum flowers in late summer while incompton flowers in midsummer

How do I say thanks?
