I have a twisted hazel to plant in the border. I see it is grafted.
Please can any one tell me at what level it should be planted - above or below the graft?
Many thanks

On plant Corylus avellana contorta

To prevent the scion rooting, plant with the union 15cm (6in) above soil level. This will keep any mulch/compost away from the immediate trunk. Grafted plants in pots should already be at the right depth, so just plant with the top of the rootball at soil level.

Thank you, OWD, that is very helpful. I wasn't sure if you buried them, like roses.

How do I say thanks?
