Please can anyone name this shrub for me?
It looks like Abelia leaves but fluffy flowers, much beloved by bees.
This shrub about 8ft. tall.

I thought Myrtle and that is Myrtus communis. pretty what ever it is.

If it is Myrtle then surely it is blooming very early & so much flower too. Is it in a greenhouse? It will be ages before my M. Communis blooms.

Fever, it was in a (large) Open Garden near Exeter and I was bowled over by it. I don't think it would be happy where we are.
