Hebe Heartbreaker

I am considering buying some nursery plants for autumn planting and would like some advice is this the correct time of year to plant would I be better overwintering in a cold frame?

If the Hebes are very small it might be better to over-winter them in a cold frame, I think. They haven't got many weeks left (unfortunately) to get established before the first frost may threaten!
