Name this peony!?

I planted this peony last year and although it did flower, it was a bit poor.

This year, though, I am much happier with it. It even holds itself up!

Can anyone name the variant, please?

That looks like it, Owdboggy. Although, I don't recognise the name. It may be that it did not have a name when I bought it as I can't remember where I did buy it. :)

I only know it as the Boss thinks it is really ugly.

Ugly? Oh no, it is anything but ugly, Owdboggy.

I didn't' say it was ugly only that she who is always right thinks it is.

Ah well, you should probably not disagree then. :)

I'd go B of B too but I have just been to a fantastic talk on Peonies by Gail Harland. She has just updated the HPS booklet on Peonies. Many are hybrids and very variable.

I just adore them.

Yes, Seaburngirl, I love them too. Fell out with them for many years but started to grow a couple some years back and love them. Only problem is that one or two do need staking still despite being sold as not requiring it. The heads are just too heavy.

Thanks, Klahanie. I think we are getting close to a unanimous decision! :)

I think we have about 15 of them. But not B.of B. for obvious reasons.

How do I say thanks?
