I have a patch of lawn which is down some steps. Am I alright to strim it only as it quite hard to carry a mower down. Please advise. Thanks.

Ditto Annella's response - I have a 10' cut Flymo without a grass box, which means its very light to lift in and out of the car, and to carry around generally. Recommend you buy something similar - but nothing with a single handle, make sure its the loop type so you hold both sides when using it. Strimming's alright occasionally, but you will not have a good looking lawn, it'll be more like a slightly shaggy field...

I use a Flymo because it's lighter. My garden is at the bottom of steep steps so sounds like yours. I have just posted a pic if that helps.
